How to Install python3-apt software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

python3-apt software package provides Python 3 interface to libapt-pkg, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python3-apt

python3-apt is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python3-apt package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-apt *

You will get with python3-apt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
